Wonderful time celebrating our 25th Anniversary.
Our BIG event this year was the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of our Club. It was held on Friday, December 8 at The Club at The Strand, Naples.
The board’s monthlong preparations paid off by a record attendance of 90 people of which 68 members and 22 guests. Originally, 98 persons had registered but we had 8 last minute cancellations due to the flu and injuries. We had various guests of honor, first and foremost Consul General Urs Brönnimann and wife Katrin from the Swiss Consulate General in Atlanta, then Honorary Consul René Riedi and wife Olga from Miami and Rita Rüedi-Anderman, one of the two founders of our Club, she flew in for this event from Switzerland. She got a well deserved special round of applause. We also had two representatives from the Swiss Club of Miami, Astrid Artho and Uwe Fischer.
All in all, it was a very memorable evening with excellent food and good music. The venue was very beautifully decorated for the holiday season. The highlight of the evening was the Raffle with many great prices, most importantly the 2 roundtrip economy tickets on SWISS from the U.S. to Switzerland, a 3-days package for two at the Golfpanorama Wellness Hotel in Lipperswil/Switzerland and the 2 first class tickets for 10 days for free travel by train, boat etc. in Switzerland.
A big thank you again to the very generous sponsors SWISS, Golfpanaroma Hotel and Switzerland Tourism. There were a lot of other prices which also deserve a big thank you. Please look up all the sponsors on our website and use their services or products whenever the opportunity arises. Congratulations to all winners.
