New Year’s Brunch 2024

“May your troubles be less and your blessings be more, and nothing but happiness come through your door.”—An Irish Blessing

On this first Sunday in 2024 we met at 10.30 a.m. for our traditional New Year’s Brunch at the Gateway Club in Fort Myers. We had a record attendance of 74 members and guests this year, all dressed elegantly and with a smile on their face looking forward to a happy, healthy and prosperous 2024. Talking to a few of the guests it was clear that most were glad to leave the oldyear behind.

Once all were seated, Joe Huber, the club’s president addressed the attendees and welcomed members and guests alike. He then gave an overview about the upcoming events. Soon after the buffet was opened and all enjoyed an extensive and prolonged brunch buffet. Food was plentiful and constantly restocked, which gave guests the opportunity to take their time and try a little bit of everything. There was a nice mix of different breakfast and lunch dishes. Everyone found something to their liking. The overall mood was relaxed and fun.
