Who doesn’t remember those cold winter nights in December, the air filled with great smells from your mother’s kitchen and your emotions full of anticipation what the Samichlaus and his helpers might have to say this year. I think I was a good person this past year and I hope that Samichlaus doesn’t remember all my mischievous moments.
So now that we are all grown up, we don’t want to loose this wonderful tradition. We will celebrate our Chlaushöck as we do every year.
Saturday December 18 starting at 16:00 (4 pm)
The Clubhouse at Silverlakes, 13035 Lakehurst Court, Fort Myers, FL 33913
(When you get to the gate, enter code 525890 to gain access. The open gate key will change from grey to green. Press the green button and the gate will open.
Turn immediately left after the gate onto Lakeland Circle, continue for about 100 yards then turn right onto Lakehurst Court and the clubhouse will be on your right. Should the parking lot be full, you can park along the road but please do not block any of the driveways.)
Cost for this event will be $25 for members and guests.
This year, the apero will be kindly sponsored by our members Chris & Eva Stern. Thank you in advance Chris and Eva. We really appreciate your support.
The meal for our Chlaushoek will be the traditional hot Swiss Fleischkaese with yummy mustard, potato salad and delicious bread.
Feel free to bring your own beverages, including water, soda and alcoholic drinks.
The club will provide the cups, plates, cutlery and napkins.
As a new twist for this year’s Chlaushoeck, we introduce a Christmas Cookie desert bar. We invite you to bake your favorite Christmas Cookie and bring it to share with your friends. Let’s see how many different yummy cookies will show up. I have my favorite in mind already!
Please sign up online at your earliest convenience and no later than December 11 (all rigistrations will be considered final after that date) or send your intentions to Lily Kraft or call her at (239) 590-8199
(venue does not allow pets or animals)
For now, make sure that the Samichlaus remembers you well and start practicing your baking skills.
