Soup-er Social Club Event – From Soup to Soup
A heartwarming gathering of 34 members took place at Silverlake’s Clubhouse for a special club premiere. For the first time, we combined delicious homemade soups with a charitable cause—bringing together great flavors and even greater purpose.
The afternoon began with a relaxed wine apéro, setting the tone for our theme: “From Soup to Soup.” Not only did members enjoy a comforting meal, but they also supported the St. Martin de Porres Outreach Mission. A portion of each ticket—$5 per person—was dedicated to the mission, and any surplus remaining after event costs will be added to the donation.
We are especially grateful to those who contributed additional funds. We’ll soon share the total amount raised—thank you all for your generosity!
The soup selection was a true celebration of taste, featuring Minestrone, Grison Barley Soup, Potato Leek, and Lentil Soup—ensuring something for every palate.
Our cheese connoisseur, Urs Pfister,once again dazzled us with a curated cheese board showcasing flavors from around the world. A charcuterie platter and freshly baked Swiss Bürli rounded out the savory spread.To finish on a sweet note, our talented home bakers provided an irresistible array of cakes, perfectly paired with coffee and conversation.
It was a joyful and meaningful afternoon—and we hope to host another event like this in the coming year!
